Office 365

Office 365 is available in the following markets.

Office 365 includes cloud or hosted versions of Microsoft’s collaboration products like Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, and OneDrive for Business. These services bundled together with the latest version of the Office desktop suite make up Office 365.

The cornerstone of Office 365 is Exchange Online (online hosted email for business). Many Office 365 plans also include desktop versions of the latest office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Office 365 reduces and in some cases, eliminates the need for on-premises infrastructure. Once services have been migrated to the cloud, decommissioning of much of the Client on-premises hardware can be performed. However, many Clients may want a hybrid Office 365 solution. In a hybrid Office 365 scenario, the Client wants to migrate certain users to Office 365 but wants other users to remain on an Exchange server at their own premises or at a TierPoint Data Center. This scenario is normal for those organizations that are hesitant about moving all users to Office 365 at the initial stage typically because of existing hardware investments or just the desire to start slowly.

TierPoint can architect and support a hybrid Office 365 solution. For those Clients that already have Exchange at their own premises or in a TierPoint Data Center, TierPoint will manage synchronization between the Active Directory (AD) in the Exchange environment and Office 365 to ensure single sign on as well as general synchronization between both environments.
