Multitenant clouds offer secure, enterprise-class solutions on a robust, scalable and fully redundant architecture for your production workloads. Multitenant clouds also provide production-grade “instant capacity” for backup and disaster recovery.
The Multitenant Cloud approach reduces the cost of cloud by spreading the infrastructure and operating costs across multiple Clients.
Each TierPoint Cloud Services pod is delivered on highly available enterprise hardware from Cisco, NetApp and EMC. In addition to physical and path redundancy built into and between each layer, the service is architected with built-in failover functionality, which allows virtual machines to fail over to other cloud nodes within the cloud infrastructure. The system will be configured to automatically restart virtual machines on other cloud nodes should a hardware failure occur. TierPoint Cloud Service will also move virtual machines seamlessly within the environment to ensure an even distribution of work across the cloud infrastructure.
To achieve the high availability goals of the TierPoint Cloud, redundancy is a key requirement. Throughout the cloud infrastructure, all hardware is installed and configured with a minimum redundancy of two devices. Each layer in the cloud infrastructure can sustain at least a single hardware failure without impacting the functionality of the platform.
